Each year there is used ca. 2560 TWh of electrical energy for the lighting purpose, what gives almost 19% of total electrical energy usage. As the world research shows, the use of energy-saving lighting is the most simple and effective way to limit the negative effect on the environment and the CO2 emission reduction. Concerning above, LUG is to design and supply to the market the lighting fittings, which are environment friendly during its entire life time and furthermore LUG supports actively the European union’s operational plan within the framework of the 2006/32/WE Directive, which assumes 20% of reduction of energy consumption before 2020.
ECOLUG
LUG has been designing and delivering to the marketplace the products which are environment-friendly through the whole period of its operation. For this purpose, the assortment of LUG is being continuously enriched with new luminaires, whose fundamental purpose is to be energy-saving. In order to facilitate the identification of ecological lighting solutions as well as to support them in the fight with excessive CO2 emission, the ECOLUG symbol was created. The luminaires marked “ECOLUG” mark guarantee reduced environmental influences, along with short investment playback period.

Introducing into offer new, energy saving lighting solutions, the LUG Light Factory comes in front of changing customers’ expectations as well as the necessity of limiting electrical energy consumption, what is caused by e.g. legislation changes concerning improving the energetic effectiveness of electrical devices and natural environment protection.
For this purpose, we offer to our customers the luminaires and lighting systems designed in accordance with the eco-designing directives, which are intended for energy saving lighting sources such as: linear fluorescent lamps T5 and new generation compact lamps that allow on generating some significant energy savings, and furthermore decent and fast return on the investment.
In the designing assumptions of the luminaires to construct, the most important criteria are energy saving, ergonomics and high lighting efficiency.
