Olympic Stadium, Wroclaw, Poland

The Olympic Stadium in Wrocław is a central part of the sports complex formerly owned by the Academy of Physical Education and currently under the management of the Wrocław Youth Sports Center. In 2015 the stadium underwent a thorough reconstruction. A significant change can be seen by looking at the lighting towers on which a new lighting system has been installed. For the purposes of the modernisation LUG Light Factory supplied high quality metal-halide floodlights: HEVELIUS PREMIUM 2000W - 422 pcs. and HEVELIUS PREMIUM 1000W - 10 pcs. The luminaires were mounted on four masts of 65 m in height and on the stand at 16 m. Both, the power and color temperature of the luminaires meet the standards of HD television. Although, lighting masts are now lower, the new lighting system is more efficient and much more economical in operation. Previous luminaires, due to their wear, offered 1400 lx, whereas the new floodlights give light of an intensity of 2000lx. The installed lighting system of the stadium field is divided into several gradually switched lighting levels: Level "Training", level "No TVevent", Level of "CTV broadcasting", Level "CTV transmission for the speedway track”, Level "HDTV broadcasts for the pitch". For all of the above mentioned levels of illumination, the glare factor is UGR≤50.
