Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Frankfurt, Germany

Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is located in Frankfurt’s Nordend as the part of the “Campusmeile“ that connects Frankfurt’s universities and libraries. The campus has been designed to make it an architectural highlight in the city and aims to reflect the global outlook of the college, as an international business school with students from all over the world. A new design, representing the American, European, African, Asian and Australian continents respectively, was created and is showcased at selected walls in each tower of the campus. This approach continues in the campus garden, where five mini-landscapes portray the continents while the groups of trees and shrubs reflect the international spirit of the school and its students. For example, pine trees and oaks represent Europe, the tokyo cherry symbolises Asia and eucalyptus stands for Australia. Caverion delivered the service of designing and building total solutions to the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management’s new campus in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. ”The new campus is a major milestone in our efforts to belong to the top five business schools in Europe by 2020. As such, we have high architectural and building solutions expectations. We were very much taken with Caverion’s comprehensive Design & Build approach,” explains Klaus Ringsleben, director of the Frankfurt School’s new building project. Since Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is aiming to be awarded gold certification by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for the building, efficient use of energy without wasting resources was of key focus.
